Wartburg College Wind Ensemble to offer concert April 14

Waverly, IA (04/09/2024) — The Wartburg College Wind Ensemble will present its home spring concert April 14.

The concert will begin at 2 p.m. in Neumann Auditorium on the Wartburg campus. Admission is free.

Under the direction of Lia Snead, assistant professor of music, the band will present music from a diverse representation of composers, including new works by Kevin Day and band classics from Gustav Holst.

"I wanted our final concert to represent the skills the Wind Ensemble students worked to develop this year. Keeping those two ideas in mind, I chose works that are fun, powerful and challenging," Snead said.
