Wartburg students to be featured at Wartburg College's April Bach's Lunch

Waverly, IA (04/09/2024) — Six Wartburg College students will be featured at the final Bach's Lunch organ recital series of the season on Friday, April 12, 2024.

The free concert will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Wartburg Chapel. It will be preceded by a noon lunch and conversation with the students in the Chapel Commons. Those performing are:

  • Hannah Johnson, a sophmore from Aplington, playing "Toccata in E-flat" by Wayne Wold.
  • Holden Willrett, a freshman from Mason City, playing "Pastorale" by Domenico Zipoli.
  • Tiffany Sherwood, a senior from Cedar Falls, playing "Verset" by Leon Boellmann.
  • Gwen McQuaig, a senior from Wenatchee, Wash., playing "A Kingsfold Suite" by David Dahl.
  • Elijah McDonald, a freshman from Alleman, playing "How Brightly Shines the Morning Star" by Wayne Wold.
  • Alexis Klug, a senior from Cedar Falls, playing "A Mighty Fortress" by Charles Ore.
